„Schattentanz“ (Shadow Dance) – The Flowing Gaze into Darkness

The painting „Schattentanz“ reveals the gentle dissolution of a face into darkness, a metamorphosis where light and shadows merge seamlessly. In this abstract representation, the human figure becomes a dancer, moving in a continuous interplay between clarity and mystery. The face, once clear and recognizable, gradually melts away, while the darkness both absorbs and accentuates its features. Yet, despite this fusion, the gaze remains – penetrating, deep, and intense, as if leading the viewer into the uncharted depths of their own soul.

„Schattentanz“ is a poetic allegory of inner transformation, a dance between visibility and invisibility, the known and the hidden. The flowing expression symbolizes the fragility of identity and the inner turmoil that accompanies human existence. In this work, the boundaries between what is and what is only hinted at blur.
